How We Impact the Community
When someone reaches out to NEWS in their darkest hour, they find more than safety—they find hope. Last year, nearly 1,700 members of our Napa County community turned to us when they needed it most, seeking refuge from domestic violence and sexual abuse.
We believe every person deserves to live free from fear. Our comprehensive support includes
emergency shelter, a 24-hour helpline, court advocacy, support groups, transitional housing,
prevention and community education, and specialized programs for children and youth.
Every service is confidential, free, voluntary and available in multiple languages. We believe access to healing shouldn’t depend on ability to pay, language, or immigration status.
We walk alongside survivors as they reclaim their strength, helping them and their children step into lives filled with safety and possibility. We offer not just resources, but respect and understanding during their most vulnerable moments.
When you support NEWS, you’re investing in the belief that every person deserves dignity, safety, and hope. Together, we’re creating homes where peace replaces violence and neighborhoods where everyone can thrive.
