Napa County Search and Rescue

When someone goes missing, time is critical. We address one of the most urgent public safety needs in our community—locating missing, lost, or injured individuals and bringing answers to their families. Our trained volunteer team stands ready to respond quickly and effectively in any environment, day or night.

We serve Napa County and surrounding areas at the request of the Napa County Sheriff’s Office and California Office of Emergency Services. Our volunteers train 15–25 hours each month and donate over 3,600 hours annually to search missions and training. We deploy ground teams, K9 units, and technical rescue resources to locate lost children, at-risk adults, hikers, and others in distress, and we provide mutual aid to neighboring counties when needed.

As a 100% volunteer organization, we fund our own equipment and operate at no cost to those we serve. Community support is essential to sustain training, readiness, and lifesaving response capabilities. Your support ensures we can act quickly, save lives when possible, and bring answers and closure to families when it matters most.
