American Canyon Soroptimist

Our 56 volunteers actively engage in a wide range of programs and service projects that empower women and girls while addressing critical needs throughout our community.

Our efforts include reducing senior isolation, raising awareness of gender-based violence, awarding scholarships to high school seniors and heads of household who are women pursuing higher education, and mentoring youth through our high school “S” Club, which actively supports our mission. We respond to various community needs through hands-on service and partnerships that directly benefit women and girls. These efforts include donating pajamas to foster care children, supporting Girls on the Run through both financial contributions and volunteer service, providing 40 Hope Bags to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, and supporting NEWS in its mission to serve those affected by abuse. We provided lid covers to sixteen establishments to reduce drink spiking.

What makes our work unique is our unwavering focus on empowering women and girls and the fact that every program and project is carried out by volunteers dedicated to fulfilling the Soroptimists’ mission. Together, we strive to create opportunities, inspire confidence, and help women and girls reach their fullest potential and dreams.

Empowering women and girls throughout our community to be their best.
