Napa Valley Chamber Orchestra

How We Impact the Community
Our orchestra is comprised of mostly volunteer string players who are committed to sharing our love of classical music with the entire Napa Valley community. We keep our concerts accessible to all with free admission. Donor contributions help us pay for section leaders, a conductor, concert soloists, music rental, venue rental, and fees that all nonprofit organizations incur. Our rehearsals are intergenerational and provide mentoring opportunities for the orchestra members. We wish to inspire children in the schools as well. In 2025–2026, we sponsored a school program that was a wonderful success. Five NVCO members narrated and played Dan Brown’s acclaimed Wild Symphony, a rousing set of poems in the style of Dr. Seuss, depicting 20 wild animals. A principal at one of the schools stated that “students were more inspired than ever to pursue musical opportunities at school.” This program will continue in the 2026–2027 school year.
