St. John’s Lutheran Mission Farm

Although Napa Valley’s wine and hospitality industries generate significant revenue, many of the families who support those very industries struggle to put healthy meals on their tables at home. Many elderly on fixed income or others receiving low wages may have to choose between covering the rent, securing essential medications, or eating healthy meals. When families turn to the CANV Food Bank for help, we want them to find more than canned and boxed goods. We work to ensure they also have access to fresh, nutritious, and delicious fruits and vegetables by donating an average of 20,000 pounds of freshly harvested produce each year.

At the same time, we offer others an opportunity to give back to their community by investing a bit of their time, energy, gardening “know-how,” or financial support, joining us in this charitable work. A little given by many adds up to make a big difference in the lives of some of our neighbors.
