How We Impact the Community
At Napa Humane, we believe the power of prevention is the key to reducing pet homelessness and animal suffering in our community. As Napa County’s only year-round, below-market-rate spay/neuter clinic operating five days a week, we provide accessible services that keep pets healthy, families together, and animals out of shelters before a crisis begins.
Through affordable spay/neuter services, preventive veterinary care, humane education, and behavior support, we address challenges before they become emergencies. In 2025, we performed 4,319 spay/neuter surgeries, helped prepare 1,181 shelter and rescue pets for adoption, provided 2,829 vaccinations, and educated 3,654 Napa County students about kindness and responsible pet ownership.
Every service Napa Humane provides is an investment in prevention—reducing future shelter intake, preventing unnecessary suffering, strengthening the bond between people and their pets, and building a more compassionate community. By investing in prevention today, Napa Humane is creating healthier pets, stronger families, and lasting change for Napa County.
