How We Impact the Community
If Given a Chance empowers resilient Napa County high school students who have faced extraordinary challenges to transform their lives through education. In any year, we provide support for up to fifty students from Napa County as they pursue college and the trades.
We understand that education is a powerful catalyst for change. We offer resources including college counseling, financial literacy, mental health support, career counseling, and financial assistance to ensure student success. We work with students in cohorts of ten starting their senior year of high school to ensure that they receive the individualized attention they need to succeed. As a result, the 2026 high school class will be attending schools such as the University of Chicago (full ride), New York University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Davis, Napa Valley College, and Skyline College. We then continue to provide support throughout four years of college.
We have witnessed remarkable transformations, and many of our students come back to strengthen the community, becoming local leaders, owning their own small businesses, working at The Queen, and more.
Help us champion these remarkable young individuals, breaking the cycle of adversity and fostering contributions to our community.
