How We Impact the Community

We help Napa Valley students from low-income backgrounds get to and through college and into meaningful careers so they can positively impact their communities and the world. Equity focused and student-centered, we have no GPA or test score requirement and support all students regardless of documentation status.

Our near-peer mentors are embedded on six high school campuses across the Napa Valley, inspiring belief in our students’ unlimited potential and walking side by side with them throughout their college journey.

Our community college students, including those at Napa Valley College, receive support in transferring to, and succeeding at, 4-year universities, transferring at 2x the national average.

Over 80% of our students graduate with a bachelor’s degree. Only 10% take out any student loans. After graduation, students continue to receive career guidance and graduate school readiness support. 100% of our students come from low-income backgrounds, 93% are students of color, and 92% are first in their family to go to college.

Testimonial

As a first-generation student, I didn’t have much guidance with the college application process, but 10,000 Degrees helped me figure it out. They supported me at my community college by helping me find clubs, make connections, and navigate my transfer application. They also answered any questions about financial aid.
